That's BS most GM techs don't even know what a melted piston looks like or a lifted ring land for that matter. I would take the short block to an engine builder for expert analysis not some ass munch that makes $10 an hour!

He's costing me money directly and indirectly. I don't want to get into the direct part, but poseurs like this guy are partly the reason GM is denying warranties and costs are going up and warranty coverage getting shorter.

Taking the blower off and trying to pass it off as stock was kind of shady in my book, but hey, no harm in trying. Getting lawyers involved because they won't pay for your play is BS that costs the rest of us money.

I see what you mean and although i am 100% for the consumer..... Here its a loss... You know what you are getting into when you put a blower on your truck..... If it blows up... Well its hard to have the dealer fix it.

I mean they will fix it but u better bust out that checkbook!!! Lol

If the Injector caused the problem it's on GM not the Huffer. The auto makers use this as a way of getting around their cheap ass parts failing. IMO GM will have to prove that the aftermarket part caused the issue which they can't....the supercharger is their scapegoat at this point.

A bad injector is *not* going to melt a piston on a stock motor.

Those ass munches make a whole lot more than $10 an hour.

Also, for that scenario, it's almost certain GM had an engineer involved.

I'm kind of surprised you can run stock injectors, fuel pump, etc.

Probably went to 100% duty cycle and just failed. Or am I just behind the times? I guess DI is a whole new ballgame.

I'll add that the builds I'm seeing with FI, they all look conservative. DI is a game changer, but I think it's more to do with the higher compression levels DI allows than DI in and of itself.

Debating a blower myself on my 5.3L. If I do, I'll definitely be upgrading to the LT4 fuel system because I'll be running E85.

I'm all set for E85 already from the factory :D

Since the lobe on the cam drives the fuel pump most are getting custom grinds to have it keep up. ...what I have yet to see is where the wall is to where the stock pump cant keep up no matter how big of a cam you have?

It may not melt a piston but in a lean condition or failure of the injector *will* score a piston

Foo.c Google magnusson-moss act of 1975. The lawyer I hired has dealt with this before. Since my truck has been at the gmc dealership, there's been 2 other STOCK 2015 6.2's with injector problems. Sorry for the bad news, but I will be getting a new motor. It'll just take a while. 07 softail thanks for the input, I agree with you 100%.
