Tonneau Cover help

Hey Guys,

this may sound really stupid but I have installed a tonneau cover and not sure about one little bit of it. I have a flap of material that I am unsure if it gets tucked under or is supposed to lay on top. Pics below.

Lays on top to keep water out. When closing the tailgate, don't latch in the cover until after the tailgate is closed.

Tucked under. Mine has the same setup at the tailgate.

I have that type of flap on my TonnoPro cover. It goes over the edge of the bed wall. Keeps rain and wind from getting under the cover behind the cab.

LOL..that is what the dealer told my buddy when he had one put on his ford. Hell, call the manufacturer and ask them, then post their answer.

I guess you guys have yours on backwards.

All I know is the strip on mine folds into a U shape when I close the tailgate and I have never had any water issues.

At front mine is wrapped under as weather stripping prevents rain from getting in and at the rear I keep it on the top of tailgate.

It is certainly supposed to be over. Lays on the edge to keep water out. Not a perfect seal but a pretty good one.
