Driver side 3rd door not shutting right.

Weither I slam it or shut it, it won't shut right. It's like it pops back out again, but I'm not completely sure. All I know is, is that it won't shut right because it's not shut all the way (I can hear the wind whistling by when I drive)

Sounds like the latch inside the door itself may be worn out. Also I'd check the door pins in the hinge to make sure they aren't allowing the door to sag. If it's sagging the door won't latch correctly either.

Assuming you have a clamshell door, the lower latches are notorious for rusting on these and need regular maintenance to keep working properly.

What would classify as regular maintenance?

Make sure you're shutting it firmly at the top of the door. On my 2009, if I just swung the 3rd door closed, it wouldn't latch at the top, and you could hear the rattling & wind noise going down the road. It drove me nuts. However, if I grabbed somewhere on the top 1/3 of the door frame, and shut it firmly, it would latch just fine.

Ok, thank you!

I have to spray WD40 on and inside the lower latches every so often. You can tell when they need it, as they start being a bit sticky to open and also won't close properly.

Do you think WD-40 with silicon will work?
