Wondering what the general consensus is among those that have installed the XB fogs as to what Morimoto 35w HID matches best, 5500k or 6500k? Pictures are always a plus.

Lastly, in relation to my first question I am wondering if I HAVE to remove the front bumper to change fog housings on 14+ Silverado (confirmed that you don't have to on GMC)?

A little late to the topic, but as far as I know, you DO have to remove the bumper and it was a total PITA.

I don't think i would do it again. plus, I can figure out how to keep the tabs locked in.

Yeah I had to remove the bumper to install and it was a pain. Too bad I wrecked my truck 2 weeks ago and destroyed one of them.. $180 down th drain. But I wasn't overly impressed by them either.

ah man what a bummer.

did you have any issues keeping the fog light tight in the housing.. the black pins just keep popping out of the factory holes and the light just bounces around in the bumper

I have 6500k morimoto hid, and the xb fogs.. I think they match almost perfect. The fogs I believe are advertised as 5k but they have more blue hue to them, matching my headlights. I'm happy with them.

i installed these today WITHOUT removing the bumper. i got both sides installed under an hour. i found this video useful on the install of the actual housing and bezel..

. hope this helps. as TRS website states these are rated at 5500k i have these matched up with FX-R projectors and 5500K morimoto hid kit. looks great in my opinion

How in the world did you install those fogs without removing the bumper?? I got a pair of the fogs and was planning on installing this weekend, but couldn't see any other way but to remove the bumper.
