Center Console Removable Cup Holder Assembly

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have the center console (power bucket seats) with two open holes (trays) forward of the console lift cover. The truck came with a cup holder (2 cups) assembly that can be placed in two different locations. Anyone know if there are other options to replace the cup holder assembly or even purchase a second one for the existing style? I cannot locate the cup holder anywhere in the parts or accessory catalogs nor can my dealer.

Just note that you can't put both cup holders in at once to have 4 cup holding spots. They don't fit together.

I tried this before I bought my truck.

Well, there is another thread on here where many of us have both. I have them in my console and they fit just fine. On the front one, I trimmed the guide on each side and it doesn't snap into the holes, but it fits and stays there. I had two large coffees and two large styrofoam Cokes in the console today. No problem.

There are 3 different ones

Burnish: 23177378

Black Carbon: 20988607

Axiom: 23177377

Thanks. I am not sure why it is so difficult to find parts or get a straight answer from the dealer. In the dealer's defense, GM has made it difficult to do anything on these trucks which is not a factory option. I loved my Toyota Tundra for that reason. Everything was PPO, pre-wired, pre-drilled and plug n play. I just had to buy the parts and install.

Can you send pictures of what you did to get them both to fit please.

I would love to have a second cup holder in my truck as the rest is wasted space as far as I am concerned.

I would like to see what I would need to do to get them both to fit.

Thanks for the response as well on this Chuck.

I'll try to take some pics, but essentially I just used a Dremel to remove the track guides on the second one and it snapped right in. No, it does not snap into the slot nor do the ball bearings snap into the dimples, but it doesn't go anywhere. I also learned a lot about the various colors...very confusing...here's the link to the other thread with pictures...
