2015 silverado Z71 vs. 2013 Silverado 4x4

Got the wife a 2015 Z71 1500 crewcab shortbox and I just put the RC 2 1/2 in. Level kit on the front. Truck has aluminum control arms and knuckle now my question is I took it down to a shop......not my choice shop bit only one that was open today. Picked up the truck and drove it home to notice that the wheel wasn't straight. Only off a little bit, but still off. When put the wheel in the straight position it starts to go left a bit. When I got home went over the paperwork from the shop and noticed they had specs for a 2011-2013 1500 extended cab/crew cab short bed with RPO QBL (P265/70/17-113H on/off-road blackwall). My wife's truck is a RDX (P265/65R18 all-terrain,blackwall). Are the specs the same for the 2 trucks. I thought front suspension had changed for the 14-15 trucks. This is the print out

OK thanks. The numbers look close to what I put on here a few differences but I have to take it back to them this morning anyway and I want to see if they have the specs for 2015. And ask them why they entered the wrong RPO

mine and my friend's 15 denali CC is the same as yours. wheel cantered i tiny bit to right. when you put it straight truck goes left. my friend owns a shop and he messed with his for an entire day. it just won't go straight lol..

Lol took it back today to let the shop try again and still didn't fix it. I pointed out to them that they had the wrong year Silverado and RPO he said that machine might not be updated. They used a different machine and this time was a 2015 but for extra cab not crew cab and still wrong RPO. Gonna go back tomorrow and point it out again and have him drive with me to show him and give him one more chance to get it right. If not then I'll try to get my money back and take to the dealer

They need to center the steering wheel, then once centered they need to lock it with a steering wheel lock as they have to leave the key in the on position during the alignment so they can move the front wheels.

Took mine to the dealership for alignment after i installed my level kit. They did perfect. Might try that.

GM's spec charts shows 5 different alignment specs based on many different tire RPO codes. RDX is not a tire code for a 2015 Silverado. There is RBX, which is the Goodyear Wrangler SRA P265/65/18 black wall.

 

Alignment specs for RBX are as follows from GM:

 

Left Caster: 2.9° ± 1.0°

 

Right Caster: 2.9° ± 1.0°

 

Cross Caster: 0.0° ± 1.0°

 

Left Camber: −0.1° ± 0.8°

 

Right Camber: −0.1° ± 0.8°

 

Cross Camber: 0.0° ± 0.8°

 

Total Toe: 0.1° ± 0.2°

 

Steering Wheel Angle: −1.0° ± 3.5°

 

Thrust Angle: 0.0° ± 0.4°

      Which one, the AT or AS?   Starfire is made by Cooper/Goodyear but at $85/tire I'd think I'd need to level-set my expectations that they may not even be round 😉 But you're saying they're decent?   I'm already into this thing $1506 in parts, fluids, etc. Totaled all my receipts today. $250 of that was replacing an EGR and MAP sensor that were probably fine, but I'm not going to return the parts since they've been installed. I'm cheap, but not that cheap. I use it, I keep it!   I may or may not make money if I sell the truck at this point, but, that wasn't really the point. And if I billed my time, I'd be hosed for real. My thought on the tires is I "might" put 1,000 miles on before selling it. I just don't want to put absolute junk on it, that doesn't do anyone any good. If the Solus solidly isn't junk, I'll definitely consider them.

      I leave mine as is. I'm always a trip away from riding on unpaved roads. Dealer can clean it when they prep it after I trade it in for another new truck.

      4WD. Far as I know it came stock with P's and not LT's. Definitely planning to put P's on it, but stock is a 109 XL load rating so I should probably stick within that guideline.   No rebates on anything I can see at the moment. Discount Tire is offering $50 off, but Pep Boys is very competitive on price, and also carries all the off-brand stuff. Les Schwab always wants an arm/leg, but they do good work.   It still has the original spare. Goodyear Wrangler RT/S, thing looks like a tractor tire LOL!! How times have changed.

      2020 Sierra 2500 windows rolling down

      2020 Sierra 2500 HD (base model) gas engine 4wd.    All 4 windows roll down on their own. Happens somewhat randomly after stop and engine off - when engine turned off, when walking away from vehicle before or after locks activated. Pulled the window fuse F14 Instrument Panel Fuse Block Right; the driver's side still activates from driver's side door panel; passenger and back seat windows activate from local switches on their doors but not from driver's side group of switches. Power mirrors don't activate with fuse removed either (same fuse for both circuits). Problem not solved.    How can they even activate with fuse removed but they are all still opening and can control from each door?  When they open on their own, I can shut them from the switch in each door, but they don't stay closed.    Seems to be activated somehow with key fob; something bumping the key fob in my pocket or just handling - removed key fob and took it far enough away and now the windows stay closed. Replaced key fob batty just in case, no change.    Sounds like some kind of wiring short or maybe electronics. Dealer will first replace electronic control module without checking anything else and I anticipate problem will still exist since their troubleshooting skills are limited to "do whatever the computer says".  In any case, keyfob seems to be activating the circuitry.    Surely I'm not the only one with this issue, but I can't find anything related on the site. What do yall think?   JohnRoy
