Looking at buying this this truck. Don't know to much about Chevy Silverado. What are good points and bad point. asking price is 30k

What year, and is it an LT or LTZ option package? That would help to tell you if price is reasonable. As far as issues... the 5.3L engines with AFM are known to have oil consumption issues. It is by no means as wide spread as people make it out to be, but I would make sure you ask for all maintenance records. I would also make sure the factory 5 year 100,000 mile warranty is still intact, and I always like to buy GM certified used for extra piece of mind.

 

I truly believe the 2007.5 - 2013 are great trucks aside from the oil consumption issues. Good thing is there are ways that won't void warranty to turn AFM off and they typically ends or drastically limits the oil consumption if you have it.
