Truck appears to not be changing from v8&v4 as it should

Truck makes a strange noise and vibrates when changing from v8 to v4....sometimes feels like I'm driving on rugboard and entire truck vibrates. If I give more gas or slow down it will stop.

Even on a brand new truck with less than 20,000 miles? Is this something the dealership can replace? They are currently doing research as they don't know what's wrong?

2014 5.3 chev does the same thing, when coasting to a stop it will vibrate with every down shift. I have 3.08 gears and at 30 mph it will go into v4 mode and vibrate the sh&t out of the truck.it will surge when going back and forth from v4 to v8. this has only started in the last 5000 . I have 40k on it now. I am in Canada so I cannot get a range device

That is strange, my V4 to V8 is nearly seamless. The only thing I feel is when the truck has to downshift when in V4 (when going up an incline, etc,) and it switches to V8 at about the same time. My truck does have a slight vibration though at idle in V8.

yes you can! order one through a buddy in the states and have them ship it to you.. I am also in Canada and i cant wait to get mine! dollar sucks though... hope you are willing to pay $300 Canadian.
