Here is a similar hit, with substantially less damage. This one cost almost $7500 CAD to fix( a couple years ago when the US & CAD$$ were a lot closer together) and did not involve any sheet metal damage, or airbags. It did require all new rad, and coolers, grill, bumper, rad support, plastics etc., plus labour, etc.

 

 

I'd say take the money and get a new truck, as yours is a lot worse than mine was.

Just meaning they would rather allow it be totaled as it will cost them less than it would to repair it.

 

You have every right in the world to see the estimate. They can not withhold that from you. You could also get a copy of the estimate from the body shop.
