Pulled the trigger on a loaded up 16 Tahoe LT for my wife last night. Traded her 12 Jeep Grand Cherokee in, big upgrade!

Tahoe is loaded with lux package, 20's, sun and entertainment pkg and rear buckets. Wasted no time and got the windows tinted 5% and added black bow ties..

I bet if you ask 10 folks with GM fullsize SUVs (probably SUVs in general), 7 of the 10 will tell you it's their wife's truck. I see you're out doing your part, wash then gas. Welcome to the wife SUV club, tell her nice truck.

Really sad that GM will put a sun roof in a LT for the SUVs but make you upgrade to LTZ or higher trim levels for the trucks.

Really not hard to see why GM offer the option in the SUV, the MSRP on the Tahoe LT is over 18,000.00 more than the PU LT CC SB MSRP according to the GM website.

The only thing extremely hard for me to understand is how a suv that has a frickin 64k MSRP has halogen headlamps. Now even 16 silverado work trucks have hid light, but thanks GM for not putting them in the Tahoe unless you get a LTZ. .. Oh well rant over, morimoto hid kit is in the mail lol.

what does the ltz have added on versus a fully loaded lt

When I bought my LT (Feb 2014) it was fully optioned like the LTZ, minus Magnetic Ride Suspension and retractable sidesteps.

Off the top of my head, only things not offered on a LT is cooled front seats, hid headlamps, mag ride and more chrome accents outside, which if you have seen my sierra, you would know I hate anyway lol.

With a fully optioned LT with luxury package you get all your safety features- side blind zone monitors, rear cross traffic, front impact alert, lane keep assist, folding and signal mirrors. I really wanted my wife to have all this with it being a bigger truck. Also the lux package gives you power folding rear seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, fog lamps, push button start and push button entry. Also I believe all LT come with rain sense wipers and intellibeam on 16s.

Overall if I had built a LTZ with the options the LT has (sunroof, entertain pckg) it prob would be a 73k truck. Versus my 64k MSRP

Looks good. I still wish they'd have done something different with the headlights, but they still look good.

I still wish they'd have done something different with the headlights, ....

If you own one of these trucks, that headlight design is like a Chia Pet; they'll grow on you

Lol! I'm sure it would. I think everything else about them would make me forget all about it.

Added some morimoto 6500k hid headlamps today. Great improvement over stock, to say the halogen lights it came with stock SUCKED would be an understatement! I still find it insane that I had to "add" these to such a pricey truck
