New member/First Post/New truck nightmare

Whats up guys. This is my first post on this forum, but I figured this site was the best place to get real advice and input. I will try to make as short and to the point. I purchased a new 2016 2500 Crew Cab Denali HD Duramax. The window stick was $67,920.00 and I put $20,000.00 down on it also. I traded in my 13 Ford CC Lariat Diesel and my 06 GMC 4500 cabover in towards the deal. I picked up this amazing truck on 1/5/16 at 4:00 pm. When I got home I was installing my new weather tech liners and as I opened the passenger side door I heard the metal scraping sound and little behold when I shut the door and took a peek it was clear the door was out alignment and a small portion of the paint was scraped off. Up till this point it was personally my first time opening the door but my salesman and whoever else at the dealership were the only ones and was very easy to tell. So, my first thought was to cancel the check for the down payment and make the dealer give me a different one. I could of easily just a picked a different one out, because speaking for myself I don't know any truck fanatics like myself would want a their new shiny new truck that has 89 miles that needs to have door removed and and any paint touch ups whatsover. Instead, because I liked the salesman, I drove there immediately at 7 am and waited for him to arrive so I could show him. We ended up showing service manager and they confirmed truck has to go to body shop. I kept my mouth shut like a gentleman, and we made the appointment to send it in to the body shop place they sub their work out too. Monday 1/11/16 just a few days later, my new truck is at a body shop and they said plan for 5 days for it to be out. And better yet I was sent home in 1500 series sierra. Which is not even being close to comparable. Still kept my mouth shut. Friday 1/23/16 I get the truck back two weeks later. I glanced at the gap between door and fender and it looked good but couldn't get a real glance at the paint because the truck was kind of dirty from car wash to the dealer. I went home. It snowed 6 inches the next day and during the storm the on star module failed, bluetooth and apple car speaker on headliner failed and I noticed after the storm the plastic molding that runs between roof and both doors was lifted up a little. Prob just a new clip. Nothing major but something I would want fixed. Tuesday or Wed I had the detail shop wash and wax the truck to get a good coat of wax on it for the winter, and they made me aware of something they saw on the paint and there was lighter spots in the paint on the front fender and door same side bodywork was done on. Nowhere else on the truck but that side. So back to dealership immediately, Salesman and service manager saw the paint and agreed and apologized and also ordered on star module and molding. Still being a gentleman and let them order the module and when that came in truck was gonna go to body shop for the paint repairs. Still being a gentleman I did not make a big issue. When I got home I wanted my drivers side floor liner out and when I removed it the floor was soaked under it. There was no hole in the new weathertech liner, so I called service department and the guy quickly said that it was probably the on star antenna or seal and just said we they will order me one of them for when the truck goes back again for the next round of repairs. Hung up and thought to myself how can he just say and or just diagnose it was the on star antenna? I went to passenger side to pick up a few pieces of trash on the floor and I happen to notice 4 chips off the wood grain on the door. Now, Im infuriated and I called my salesman, I told him and said I want to talk to the owner or someone over his head, and I simply asked if he could just talk to owner and give me a new truck because I did not spend this type of money for a truck that is having band aids put all over it. Decided to call GM directly the next morning to open complaint, and was told they will contact dealer and at least make sure I get a comparable truck this time but I still want and believe I deserve a brand new one. Truck has less than a 1000 miles at this point and I have made multiple trips just going to dealership. Shortly after I got call from a family member/owner said they will look at and make sure I get a real truck that is at least capable of moving my Cat Track loader. I went there last Monday 2/1/16, I went over my issues with the owner or owners/family member and service manager. I nicely asked if they could just give me another one, which I feel I deserve. They even had me look to see if there was one was on the lot like mine, so I started to think she would help me out and that there was hope they would give me what I paid for. To sum it up, I had a few more talks ranging from the truck is fine and perfect, to they ran a garden hose over truck and cant find leak, to somehow the dealership made the paint spots disapear, etc etc. This person also told me on the phone that they wanted to save me time because I said I was going to file a complaint with the attorney generals it will not do me any good because the state does not really work with GM or along those lines. This phone call was Thursday at 3:30 pm, 3 days after I was told I would get a call at end of the day on Monday. I have had 4 ford trucks, 4 GM trucks, 1 of which has had a leak and I never once even filed a complaint nor ever even made a call to any of these corporate headquarters. My issue is I was sold a busted door and recieving my truck back with screwdriver marks on my wood grain and I know they are that because the service manager said the body shop probably took panel off with one judging by the marks? So, my issue is that I am getting zero help from GM guy over the phone I have talked to twice and the dealer is telling me this truck is perfect after it was damaged under their care. I can deal with electronic failures and recalls but who in their right mind would argue with a customer over this stuff. Nevermind, why would I pick a truck with a broken door when there are so many out there. I have not even been offered a gas card. And to sum it up when I got the call on Thursday late afternoon that my truck is perfect and the paint spots are gone and who knows what else, it happens to rain and then we got 8 inches of snow Friday night and it was left outside. Wouldnt it make sense to keep it inside to show me so I can even agree and approve. Now, I am going to go to any lengths to get what I paid for. My last question to you guys is would you just let a dealership do this to you as a customer with a top tier truck? And if GM is reading this " How can you not back me as long time customer after I am being treated like this?" I have not asked them once even to be compensated for fuel or anything. I just want a new truck and I will ride off into the sunset.

I hate it for you. We are not Getting what we pay for anymore. Especially with new trucks and cars.

It's sad. Many of us dream for years to afford and get a new truck and now finally able to get it and and then met with this bullshit.

I hate to have to add to this, I haven't even posted my I'm a new guy yet. But, the reason I came to this site is for very similar reasons. For the first time in my life (50 years old) I finally squeaked into a brand new Crew Cab 2500 HD short bed LT with the touch screen etc. Here's how my experience is going. 2300 miles on truck and I'm in the middle of a six hour trip towing an empty single axles dump utility trailer. While returning to the highway the truck started to slow then kicked back in then 30 minutes later I have nothing, no response to gas pedal. Creep off the highway, phone calls, tow truck, leave trailer on side of road, etc. etc. What's wrong? CATASTROPHIC transmission failure. I won't go in to the whole story of hotel, rental, etc. etc. New Transmission installed truck comes back. To date, Transmission, Ebrake pedal broke, Heater fan and touch screen didn't work for 45 minutes today until I shut everything off and back on. Nice, 0 degree morning with no heat. I'm sick to my stomache. I traded in a JEEP RUBICON UNLIMITED and sold my OLD RELIABLE TOYOTA TACOMA with 145K miles (maybe one minor issue over the years), in order to get into a $49,000, GULP, truck that ****ING SUCKS! I got it to have the carrying capacity and tow capacity for my Farm Tractor. In four wheel drive it sounds awfully strange like it's gonna fail anytime.I am sick. Yes, I would like to be fully compensated, right after the TRANSMISSION AT 2300miles I wanted compensation but the dealer wouldn't budge as they said GM wouldn't budge. I am now in the serious contemplation of selling the truck at a loss (Less the brand new plow). I have had 2 Suburbans, a 1500 1/2 ton, S-10. I have no idea if I will replace with Dodge or Toyota. I don't like the style of the dodge that much and the Fords even worse. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHTMARE FOR BOTH OF US.
