2014 Silverado Daytime Running Lights

My daytime running lights indicator on the instrument cluster is on and it's night time here. Can someone tell me if this is normal? I have the light switch dial in auto and am in Canada. I don't remember the light being on before and kind of want it off! Anyways I'm taking it into the dealer tomorrow so will get them to look at it if they should be turning off at night.

In my 14 Silverado that is the indicator that the headlights are on, not the DRL's.

Hey thanks for responding Aaron. I can't remember seeing the light on before but that's good to know it is normal. Seems kind of weird and unneccesary to have the light on but whatever. Thanks again
