I got a puncture on one of my SR-A's yesterday. Tire shop said it probably can't be patched. These tires have 16500 miles on them, in between 5/32 and 6/32" of tread left. I was hoping to get through the summer with these tires before changing them. My options are to buy one tire and have it shaved down to match roughly $250 or just replace all 4 now. What are your thoughts?

Was just in the exact same situation less and a month ago and I elected to buy a whole new set. THE SR-A's were crap I had 3 flats in 8 months and decided to go with a 10ply tire so far no more flats. My vote would be to replace them with a better tire... just my 2 cents

or a 3rd option: buy a used tire that is around 6/32". Check on ebay. Or this place is local to me but they ship, looks like they have some at 7/32". www.champtires.com

That's if you are looking to save some money for now, otherwise just buy a new set and be done with it.

I would use this as the perfect excuse to buy a new set.... SRAs are crap.

I just ditched my SRA's at 17,800 miles exact. Complete crap and down right dangerous in the rain.

Put on a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S in factory size (275-55-20).

What a difference! Highly reccomend. Total cost right t $1000.

Can you snap a couple pics of these on the truck. I've been debating throwing a set of these on mine but didn't think they looked aggressive enough...
