A few... MVI/GM-Navigations has a basic MyLink or InteliLink upgrade for 1K. I am waiting to pull the trigger on this one but am trying to gather some parts first to bring the price down a bit hopefully.

What do you want?? There are kits out there that you can upgrade to the 8" mylink display if you have the small 4" display, upgrade to 2014-2015 navigation, upgrade to the 2016 hardware, with or without navigation all factory GM hardware through MVI or www.gm-navigation.com for example there are other suppliers too. Or aftermarket if you so desired. Really up to you and what you want.

Is this the same radio, or type radio that the other site said is just for no factory nav vehicles? I have the 8 inch that has nav etc, but would like a system that's customizable but doesn't look aftermarket or out of place. If this unit can be used with all the functions already on the truck then I'm very interested.

 

May be posting a little fast, about to look more into it myself

Just noticed it said factory usb and aux, and steering wheel controls won't work with it

That's pretty cool, hopefully it runs a pretty stock Android system so it won't lag. This is what I'm working with. Nexus 7 2nd Gen tablet.

Is it plug and play? If it is can you make a video of your going to be installing it and a video showing the performance. Also does it get full android play store? If not, that's not an issue I'm sure we can get it on it since is running Android system. I'm a big android fan, even rooted (hacked every android device I have) really looking forward to hearing more of this

Only had an hour or so of time to mess around with it.. Got it installed. Kind of weird how it plugs in, you don't utilize the plug that actually plungs into the stock screen. Which is probably why steering wheel controls don't work.

 

Anyways, the radio has way too many features for what I want. (I'm not sure how any of them work as I'm not an android guy)

I've only used Bluetooth to listen to music and it cuts in and out quite a bit which I cannot have. I also lost the blinker sounds.

The gps loses connection every quarter mile... Long story short, don't waste your money!

 

I'm going to see if I can utilize my stock radio, but have this installed solely for gps. Probably won't work and I'll end up sending it back.

That screen is a monster. Is it a tablet they use or a radio-esqe type that's already in the silverados. I'm the same as Nitro, rooted all my android phones. Wonder if you can upgrade from 4.4.4 to marshmallow or at least lollipop. Wondering on the 8 or 16 g of storage. With nav and any music wonder how long before it gets full. I'm thinking everyone on here wants you to do a in depth review on your thoughts. For under 400 bucks that nice setup. Oh forgot. What bav is used.. Google maps?

What trim level do you have. I have never seen an io3 truck with carpet floors, leather steering wheel and the silver radio trim. Guess I should start looking better haha. Did they start doing this for 2016?
