Wonder what the 17s HDs will be able to do.

The 17's should be unbelievable...The current LML is on par as it stands so the updated plant should be nothing short of outstanding.

That's part of what makes these test a little more "real world" than other tests. The guys are TFL are very clear about their tests and how outside forces can impact those tests. Just like anything, these tests are just one of the many things to consider when looking at truck capacities.

 

I personally like their tests because they are not brand specific or brand bashing, just stating the facts of their tests.

 

Yes and they are generally clear if they have a clean run with traffic.

I agree with chevor, didn't buy a truck to race uphill. For hauling and pulling not racing. Longevity more important.

Lol..I don't think you'll find anyone that disagrees with your statement.

 

The test is just showing some numbers for trucks "hauling and pulling" a load uphill as well as performance going down hill. The goal is to maintain at least 60mph. Some trucks simply do it better than others. Its up to the buyer to decide what is most important. I think the Duramax has proven the longevity part already.
