Mesh Grill Removal without removing entire grill assembly

Is there a way to remove the honeycomb grill without removing the entire grill assembly? Just curious if this has ever been done. Used the Search feature with no success.

 

Any and all help is appreciated

No. The mesh has tabs on its. You have to remove the grille, unscrew the backing, then pry the tabs to get the mesh removed. It's a pain and you can break the tabs if not careful.
