Can't decide which to go with

I have an Airaid Jr kit on the way, and can't decide if I should go with an MBRP exhaust, or a Blackbear tune next....

Tune is going to be more than just an exhaust, but if you have exhaust before tune, the tune can be optimized to the exhaust

Tune will give you actual performance gains. Exhuast will probably not make any difference. Might gain 1 or 2 hp at top end and lose some tq at the bottom end. If you are dead set on exhaust it is better to do it before getting a tune. Its very common to gain 30hp with the tune and have a better driving truck.

SO, I was thinking to do the tune, and possibly just replace the stock muffler with something that will sound a little better....or just get rid of the muffler all together. Any suggestions there?

muffler delete is all you need sounds great (cut off flapper valve too)

Ok, I am torn between the Borla Pro XS, Magnaflow 18" or 22", and the Dynomax VT.

The Borla ATAK system is my favorite. There is no drone and has a great sound. It is loud but not loud in the cab. Any of the Borla systems are good.

 

This is my 2016 Silverado with ATAK system.

What did you guys pay for a muffler install? I have a guy that will install a 14" Magnaflow and delete the flapper and resonator for $260. Does that sound about right?
