2010 1500 power seat issue (not dead)

So I researched the interewebs for a good day and cannot find a solution to my problem. I just bought the truck and the only issue as of yet is the dang driver seat not working. It moved front to back just fine, but not up and down. With a little banging around I got the front "spinner" thing to move for about a second but then it seized to move again. Now I cannot get it to go again and the rear is still stuck. The motor is alive but nothing will turn. Any ideas??

So an update. I know the motors work, and the switch works. The cable like connection that goes from the motor it self to the part that makes the mechanism spin is the issue but I do not know how to manipulate it to make it work. Its like a winch thats spun out and wont spin back in. Anyone have any ideas? Its stuck in the up position all I want is to get it in the down position lol

Mine stopped working up and down. Does yours make a motor sound when trying to lower it? I have inquired about the part it's an assembly with a new motor and is like $400

yes the motor is running but is a different pitch than the working sounds. I know its functional because I got it to move a little while pushing/pulling on stuff but cant replicate it.

seat removal is usually just 4 bolts and then whatever electrical connections are there
