Speaker whine

Well, I replaced the stock HU, F and R speaker, new amp and wires on my 99 Z71.  System sounds great but when the headlight is on, I get this loud whine from the front left speaker only.  The whine is not related to rpm or volume control on the HU and is there even if I fade the speaker off.  The whine starts off at a high pitch then reduces in pitch.

I made sure to run the power cable down the left side of the truck and all the speaker wires and rcas on the opposite side.  Where any speaker wires intersect they do so at 90 degrees.  Any thoughts??

Thanks in advance!

2 things

1. check the ground at the amp. if that doesent work disconnect the power from the amp

2. if it still does it with the power to the amp disconnected the polarity on that speaker may be reversed

I figured it out. Thank goodness it was something simple. There's a wire in the harness for the HU that is not used. A orange wire with white stripe. Turns out it supplies current to the factory HU when the headlights come on.

Well, it was loose and touching the chassis of the HU causing the whine in the speaker and for some reason, only the left front speaker only.

Hope this helps someone else. ;)
