New Bakflip F1 has a bent frame

As you know, this is a relatively expensive bed cover. I bought it from autoanything and it the passenger side rail mount is significantly bent. I was able to with a lot of force to get the bolt threaded to attache it to the bed top. It was difficult because the size of the bend barely left any room for the threads to grip. It appears that everything is functional with it now, but i was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

I did passenger side as well. Mine was on the G2, but it looks like the same frame. I got mine on eBay. I probably could have returned it but I was ready to get it on. I was able to bend it back over with a pipe wrench.

Do these require the "shims" that they talk about in the instructions? I just put a G2 on my 16 and was wondering the same thing...but I didn't see any shims included with it? Looks like the shims would be used to angle it up some to be more flat?

I have the F1 on my 2015. Rails were not bent and mounted easily. I am not happy with the cover itself. It is about 3/4 of an inch too short to seal properly. The gaskets at the front are coming off after 6 months, and the 2 mounting studs are covered in rust. My suggestion is to send it back and go with another manufacturer.
