My 4K mile 2016 Denali is starting with the mildew smell when ac and heat is on. I got a new filter and also ozium. Before I take it to the dealer I wanted to try this.

For ozium spray a couple of time where he footwell is while the ac is on recirculate? Windows up or down. Any other advise would appreciated

Thank you

I'd take it back to the dealer. Have you had any water come inside? Sounds like the drain to the A/C may be plugged and not letting the condensation out of the cab. Then it sits and starts to smell.

I agree with O_J - Fix the cause, then treat the smell.

Its a new truck, can you imagine how it will smell if the leak is not found after a few years? Not to mention the damage that it will cause. The only way to get a mildew smell is water, or something being wet. Find the source and correct it now.

Yeah if your getting water in I would certainly take it to dealer. As for Ozium I use it, I prefer the new car one to the original. Original has too much of a chemical smell. What I typically do is on the way home a few blocks from home close all windows and put AC fan at high speed and recirculate. Spray a bit down on the floor board so it gets picked up into the system and let it run until I'm home. I have smoked cigars on the way home before and when the wife gets in later that evening she couldn't even smell it, she is hyper sensitive so Ozium must work pretty good.
