Borla exhaust

I'm getting close to purchasing the dealer installed Borla exhaust for sure. Chev currently has a 15% disc off accessories thru 1-3-17, which will save me a few $. Regarding the CAI, and the exhaust options, I have a few more questions:

 

1) Is there any sound difference or advantages to having the dual split rear exit or the dual side exit? I was thinking dual rear, mainly for looks, but just wondering.

 

2) Yes, the CAI is expensive! With it, will I notice more of a deeper tone, or nothing at all if I decide against it and just go exhaust?

 

3) I could just buy the CAI on shopchevyparts.com for $449.10 shipped, which still cheaper than the current 15% off. If I don't feel comfortable installing myself (but I will try), since its an OEM GM part, could I bring it in and have the dealer install it later or even have someone else (third party) install and still be fine regarding warranty? I know some dealers may get a little funny if you ask them to install an OEM part that you didn't buy from them. Yes, I may be frugal, but I just hate the outrageous markup on dealer part prices. Thanks!

CAI systems are really quite easy to install yourself.
