How much louder would you say it is verses the stock system? I see others have said there's no drone, and that's a good thing. That would drive me banana's on daily driver. Basically, I'm looking for something with just a little more noise over stock, mainly at idle and cruising speeds with still having a quiet cab. What do you think?

Just a little bit. No drone really can't hear it at cruising speed but when you jump on it its there. Just a little rumble at idle I think this is what your looking for.

Sorry I meant which model. I see there is 2 different one. Not sure which one you have.

Dual exit or side exit?

Duel side exit. Nice and neat easy installation.

Looks great. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for the picture.

So I was thinking about doing the exhaust for my next mod. From the guys with the experience, do you think the borla exhaust is worth the money? I want to try and keep the warranty so throwing a tuner in it is out of the picture for right now...

It definitely sounds good and it's an easy install but they're kind of pricey if you got the cash why not you only live once

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of price are we looking at? I've been researching these systems along with the cold air intake. All they GM. What gets me is the price! I've seen installed prices for the exhaust anywhere from $1285 to $1520. Then the tips aren't included. That's another $300 for 2. The cold air intake was just under $600 installed. Since I just purchased a new '16 Silverado, I put pressure on their Accessories Rep, and all they could do was $2100 installed for everything or $1500 installed for just the exhaust and chrome tips. My main concern is not doing anything that would risk voiding a warranty. You can get the same Touring system on other sites, with tips for $1000. Thoughts? Thanks!

That price is about right if you are having the Borla system installed for you from the dealer because it is using all of Borla's piping with dealer pricing. Yes you can buy the system for $1000 on other sites, but then you add in installation costs and you're back to the $1200-1500 range if you don't install it yourself. The only way to save cost on a Borla is to buy the muffler and then have a shop do custom piping instead of the Borla piping. Some will argue for and against all of these options. It comes down to how much you're willing to spend and whether you're willing to put the work in to install or not.

Now, if you pay $600 just to have a cold air intake installed.... you shouldn't complain about the Borla prices. That's outrageous. You can do a CAI in your garage with basic tools in under an hour even if you are not very mechanically inclined for easily under $300 pending which CAI you purchase.

My advice, If you are worried about your warranty that much and are not installing the system yourself.. have the dealer do the Borla for $1500. CAI definitely do not pay the dealer to do for $600... either do it yourself or don't do it at all. Just my opinion :fingersx:

GM Borla catback w/flapper and bypass dealer installed will be right at 1500 bones. The system is specifically designed for these trucks and is SS. I do not mind paying a bit more for a quality product. I really like the sound. This system with a CAI makes some beautiful music at anything above 1/2 throttle. Here is a sound bite.

I could have had my local exhaust shop chop up the factory system and stick a maganflow muffler on for about 350 bucks but they only had aluminized steel pipe and could only bend a maximum size of 2 1/2 ' pipe and this Borla system for the 6.2 is 3" SS. just cut out beer and cigs for a few months and walla you will have plenty of money to buy a quality product....

Is this with the sport muffler? It sounds too loud for touring but still not quite as loud as I've heard other S-types..?
