I haven't found much info regarding this camera from www.7daycam.com. Here is the camera: https://www.7daycam.com/ddpai-dashcam/ddpai-dashcam-mini-full-hd-wifi-dash-camera-car-black-box.html

Maybe no info should tell me something, but I like the fact it is compatible with an IPhone with an app. Have learned that Ddpai is popular in the China market, but not sure of the reliability.

I am also considering the Mobius action cam, with the capacitor in place of the battery. I have considered the Mini 080X series (like the Eprance that was available), BT it doesn't seem that the 080X series is quite as reliable as the Mobius, even if the Mobius doesn't have quite as good of a picture.

I am looking for a very compact dash cam, so please don't suggest those that that are larger in size as I am not interested in one. Would like good pic quality, possibly hard wired, and able to withstand the crazy temp range of Mi and Soo, Ont area when up there snowmobiling (-40* to 100*+ F).

Any insight is greatly appreciated!!!

TY!

TY Ryan!

I have seen that thread, and a few others regarding the Mini. I haven't ruled it out, but have read some very good things on the Mobius camera as well. Down side is there isn't a screen when first installing it, but it is very compact in size like the Mini.

Did read the Ddpai isn't as reliable as the Mobius from some feedback that was posted online, so it must be true! ;)

Ryan,

Do you have a pic mounted in the truck by chance? Regardless of what I get, hoping to hide it as much as possible. If it wasn't for the stupid "3rd visor" dot crap I probably would have already bought one.

TY again!!!

PS; Sorry for posting in OT. Wasn't 100% sure where to post as I have seen some threads in different places....

I have been using a Roadhawk HD since 2014 it fits in the palm of your hand records on SD card. Video is wide angle color 1080 resolution. I put mine directly between rearview mirror and windshield so when you walk by my truck it blends right in. It has survived southen heat in the summer and moderate cold. If you want to see your video just pop out SD card plug it in computer.

SMC,

Sux about the accident but glad everyone was ok and the ins co stepped up. Your commentary sounded exactly like what mine would have.... Video looks pretty good on the Garmin, but without seeing it in person the size of the cam per pics and dimensions looks like it sinister than I am looking for. Have to see if I can find one low ally to look at in person.

Crank,

That Roadhawk looks pretty sweet!!! I was hoping to keep the price under $100 or so, but it does intrigue me!!!

Ryan,

TY!!! Whenever it is convenient for you is awesome. I have been considering a cam for a while now, just trying to do my homework.

TY again!!

Most people that even notice it think its a radar detector. There pricey i know than you wanted but there customer service is good for warranty and the video saved me already once after being run off the road and they told the police i forced them to hit me. duh  . And my son has one in his Silverado he was just sitting at a stop light and captured a T bone wreck and gave the victim a copy of the video showing the other driver running the light. Anyway there some good cameras out there good thing to have nowdays.
