Snoringbear Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Came across an interesting situation the other day. A few days ago I mounted my trusty steed (2015 LTZ) to go mail a letter. So, got in the truck, then dropped the letter in the large open bin in the forward portion of the console so to drive. Pulled up to the Post Office drop box and reached into the bin for the letter. But, the letter wasn't there! So, looked around the passenger seat, etc, still no letter! Now, being I'm a seasoned citizen, thought I was loosing my marbles and maybe I left the letter at home! So, went home and searched. Still no letter. Now, I'm getting pissed! Went back out to the truck to do "one more" search. Well, after considerable looking and re-looking I saw a happened to see a gap of about 1/8" running the width of the bin, about half way up. So, having run out of options, I removed the cup holder. And, guess what? There was my letter laying on the floor inside the console! I know, took awhile to get to the conclusion. But, if you should ever "loose" a piece of paper, letter, etc, don't start thinking you've gone nuts. Just remove the console cup holder and you just might find what you're looking for, lol!
Cosmic Charlie Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Ditto - my 2011 SLT did it also under the cup holder is one place (papers go from the front of the cup holder bottom and slip back under) also under the dash is a slot above the console is another .... makes for a good sanity check
MotionMan Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Haven't you lost a letter in the mail and the USPS said "did you look in the crack in your center console or glove box" happens all the time.
tbarn Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Eliminated it for '16. Cupholder no longer removable. I'd rather have the hidden storage, myself.
480Ruger Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 X2. One of the things I did like about the 2014 over the 2016.
