Anybody Re-gear in Louisiana

Has anyone re-geared in Louisiana? I have 3.08 and hate it. Wanted to see what kind of prices people are being quoted.

Nobody is making Ring and pinion gears for these trucks yet, unless you do the hack job of installing the 14 bolt stuff inside of the newer 12 bolt.

Or if you buy the OEM 3.42's to replace the stock 3.08's.

 

What part of LA? I know a place outside of New Orleans that did the work on my Ford 8.8, I would have to imagine they could also handle GM rears.

I am in Covington, La. Right across the lake from NOLA. I know I saw East Coast Gear Supply makes a kit for our trucks to run the 3.73s so I was gonna get that, just need a reputable shop to install.

Try Steve's 4WD, they are right off of River Rd. in Harahan by the Walmart. I think it's Plantation St.
