Could use some help with my paint flaking issue.

A little over a year ago, and when I was under my 36,000 mile warranty, I brought my truck in to a dealer to ask them about the chipping paint I had around the bottom of my doors. They looked at it briefly and said they weren't aware of any recalls. So I paid them about $100 to just fill the spots rather than strip and repaint the whole doors.

 

Here I am today, and I notice that all the paint patching they did has flaked off in those exact areas. I started looking it up and found the references to the PIT5313C document. My truck fits the description for the location and build date.

 

Last week I emailed the GM customer service and they said there was no recall and they couldn't help me. I responded and noted that I found the PIT5313C document. They responded and said too bad, I'm outside the warranty window anyways. To which i responded and said I did bring the truck in when it would have been under warranty, but they didn't find the bulletin back then.

 

So I'm wondering if there's anything I can do at this point? What exactly are the PIT5313C forms and can I see the full document somewhere? Any thoughts on where to take the next step?

Thanks for the links.

 

It seems like everyone else was under their mileage warranty and had GM offer to help right away. I'm hoping I'm not too late to the game. I'll give them another call and see what happens.
