What did you pay for your 2016 Silverado Custom?

Looking to buy a new Silverado. Been to 2 or 3 dealers so far but none can meet the prices they advertise on their websites. So what did you guys pay?

July 4th 205 off sale has been extended. Divide the MSRP by 100 then multiple by 80 for your sale price. Make sure they give you fair market tradein value if you have a trade (10 minute internet search NADA / Edmunds /Kelly blue book etc) and sign the documents. BAM done. Where are you running into problems at? it would just be unbelievable if a Car Salesman tried to rip you off.............

I went to quirk chevy last night and got them down to $32,600 on a white rally edition 4x4 with an msrp of $41,700. that doesn't seem too bad. I wonder if they will take $32k

That was without my trade. My trade is a 04 Silverado ex cab 4x4 with 196k on it. Price with my truck was $31,300 so they are only giving me $1300 for my rig. Its funny because 3 weeks ago I went to the same exact dealer and they offered me $2500 on my truck toward a LT Z71 with a higher price tag.

I'd offer $30k with your trade in and call it a day.

That doesn't happen to be Quirk Chevy in Braintree, MA is it?

Yep thats the one! Why?

I live in MA myself. That dealer pissed me off. So I started looking into buying a new truck in Feb. First place I contacted was Quirk because of the $11K off MSRP on their website. To make a very long story short, the guy I communicated with through email and on the phone had a completely different story from the salesman and business manager I dealt with once I was ready to buy in April. The whole time I was at the dealership it was all about pushing a sale. The business manager even told me the internet guy I had emails with doesn't know anything. They low balled me on my trade in too. With that said, Quirk does give good deals, There're know for that in this area. I just didn't like how they go about business. I found a better deal from Banks Chevy in Concord, NH. These guys beat the best I could get from Quirk by $1,000. I ended up ordering a truck because I was dead set on the 6.2 in a Midnight Edition. I ordered it on April 18th and I'm actually going to pick it up tomorrow.

Just a quick thing about Banks. I started talking with these guys the same time I did with Quirk; and I can't say enough about these guys. Everyone I talked with was on the same page with zero pressure. I remember when I went up there the saleswomen had copies of all my emails I had with the internet guy printed out so she knew my whole story. I highly recommend this dealer.

Lastly, my brother just ordered a Sierra Denali with Banks a couple weeks ago.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have

Went to quirk again tonight since its on my way home from work. Literally took me an hour and a half to get back to the price i was at on wednesday. Then we go to write it up and theres a bullshit $1199 "transportation" fee. They are snakes sneaking that in on me. They wouldnt take it off so i walked out, yet again.

Quirk sucks. Im going to start going to other dealers see if i can find a halfway honest one.

Ok lets do the math here. MSRP is $41,700.00 divide by 100% = $417.00 x 80% = $33,360.00 now figure your trade in "actual value". Looks like a 2004 Z71 sliverado 4x4 in good condition will sell at a dealership for around $8,000.00 so allow the stealership to make say 4000 of that for prep (being generous) and we establish a tradein value of $4,000.00 so your cost difference will be $29,360.00 plus tax tag title. Car and truck salesmen are sometimes very knowledgeable but most are just not going to give a flip about you or your deal it will probably be harder to find the right salesman/dealership than the truck that you wish to purchase. Good Luck man. post-127028-0-94361200-1468696788_thumb.jpg Obviously this is a GMC sale Ad but you know that Chevy is matching it!!!!!!!!

I dont think chevy is matching it though, only on certain trucks. I think the crew cabs werent selling so they put them 20% off. The salesman was trying very hard to talk me into a crew.

My rig isnt worth $4k haha its a shitbox. Best ive been offered is $2000 on trade in thats about what i figure its worth. I could probably sell it myself for $3000 but have to go through the hassle of craiglist

Whats the deal with waiting and ordering a 2017?

How do you get rebates? Do you talk to the dealer on price before you even order the truck? Or after the truck arrives?

I would like to order one exactly as i want it

If dealer knows pricing, they may deal with you before it arrives. You won't know what rebates apply until the purchase date. Don't expect too much this early in a model year. I wouldn't personally put down a deposit if they ask. They can surely sell to someone else if it arrives and you decide you don't want it.
