Leaf spring question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm new to trucks and still learning a lot. I recently heard loud clank over bumps and it got steadily worse until it affected steering. Turned out to be my caliper bolt backed out so I fixed that ...

Recently I heard an annoying clank over bumps again and while I was investigating I saw this little rubber "damping" pad between leaf spring. I don't think it is cause of noise but it is all torn up and in bad shape. Do I need to worry about this ?

I checked them they are good ...

I just took it throughout golf course to see if it would make clank but nothing. Seems to be only when I have a load in back

I guess this is a common issue. Only noticed it yeste day when I put first load in bed. Then today with empty bed nothing even when off roading. I have to haul another bed full of lumber tomorrow so I am going to see if clank or whatever comes back...

Thanks for links
