Re gear questions !

Hey guys I'm sure this has been talked about before, but all the forums I'm seeing are pretty old, so maybe there's some new info out there. just lifted my 2014 Silverado 1500 2wd 5" on 35s last week. Has 5.3, intake, programmer and exhaust with 3.42 gears. Didn't really notice much power loss. But my avg mileage already dropped from 14 to 11 .. Was looking into re gearing.. I tow a little on vacations but not much weight tho. What ratio do you guys think with my set up? A lot of guys seem to recommend 4.10s.. Will re gearing really help the mpgs? What's the usual price range?

I did (and HIGHLY recommend) the following:

 

Yukon Master Overhaul 3.42 to 4.11 swap, Auburn 30 Spline Limited Slip, MAG-HYTEC diff cover, and 4 quarts of Synthetic SAE 75W-140 all together was $1625 plus tax for the parts/lube.

 

Typical labor costs are around $400-$500 around here.

 

So far I've gotten about 16-17 MPG with mostly city driving with 35s (34.5" KO2s) but I also have a sweet tune from Diablew so I'm running 91 Octane.

Thanks for the info guys! Just got off the phone with my local shop, and the 14's went to a bigger rear end. So the lowest gearing actually available are 410s .. Quoted $950-1000 for parts and labor
