2001 suburban key fob won't reprogram

I own an 01 Suburban. It has factory key fobs with new battery's. A few weeks ago they lost the program and I reprogrammed them successfully. Now they have dropped the code again.

When I follow the directions and hold the unlock button it doesn't lock and unlock. Don't think it's entering programming mode. Is it the receiver that's not working? Can I replace that? If so could I get a used one at a salvage yard?

Thanks

Tim using the factory fobs. They have worked perfect for 15 years now when I hold the unlock button and cycle the key the locks don't cycle. I think that indicated its not entering the program mode?

Something might just be dead, do you have another fob that works?
