On a TBI system with distributor, can you trick the computor into thinking it has a rpm signal? I know there is a procedure for GM--OBD1--MFI--DIS, but I've never heard of that being used on a TBI system with a distributor?

If the computor thinks it has an rpm signal, it will pulse the injector (s), just a circuit test. but, I've never heard of that being done on a TBI system. Anybody heard of that?

I don't have a problem, just curious? thanks

Somebody told me, you could still use the old solder-gun trick to trigger the ignition module and in turn, pulse the injectors, on TBI with a distributor. As a circuit test.

It still seems like that tickle-test on the reference circuit, should work. Never tried it though. thanks
