Getting the gauges fitted into the mustang pod seems to have changed my mind about mounting location. I like option A

A whole lot better than option B

now that I can see it with gauges mounted in it.

Finally got tired of my squeaky rear brakes. Replaced pads, rotors, hardware, parking brake shoes and hardware, backing plates, axle seals, cleaned and relubed the caliper slides, and changed the rear end oil. Anyone who has done drum brakes before (parking brakes are drum) will understand why I didn't get a lot of pics of the process. All I can say is that my backing plates were ready... to fall off, and no more squeaky brakes.

The fact that I had to beat the right side rotor off of the hub with an 8lb mallet may explain why alignments couldn't make my truck drive straight.

Did I mention TO HELL WITH THE PANHARD BAR AND SWAY BAR GOING RIGHT ACROSS THE DIFFERENTIAL COVER? Wasn't too bad really. Just scraping the gasket surface of the axle housing was fun because the lift goes 5' up and I am 6'3".

Some little useless tab on the backing plate was making contact with the rotor. Slight adjustment with a hammer and screwdriver took care of it

An acquaintance of mine also used the Dorman plates and reported that they squeaked when cornering in his Avalanche... If I have to do it again, I will get the AC Delco ones

Still plugging away at it. decided to mount the IAT in the intake manifold, just because, so I am working out a mounting solution. Turn Key Engine Supply has a nice looking EGR delete plug with a 3/8 NPT hole in the middle to facilitate mounting the IAT in the intake. I ordered one over a week ago, which was a bad idea. Apparently companies like Turn Key Engine Supply can invoice a person, and charge their credit card for something, then email the person a copy of the invoice, all without actually being there to answer phones or reply to emails from people whose money they have. Funny story, my order status says "Awaiting Fulfillment" and it's been over a week. I believe the BBB will be knocking on their door Friday if my order has not been cancelled and my money returned.

On a lighter note, Speedway Motors sells a nice EGR delete plug, minus the hole for the IAT. That's ok, I have a drill press, 37/64" bit, and a 3/8x18 NPT tap. I also tell people when I am not going to be available, instead of leaving them hanging for over a week and counting. That is all for now.

So... after having my money for 12 days and not answering their phones or replying to emails, Turn Key Engine Supply decides that the item I ordered is "out of stock." I only found this out because they finally emailed me, saying that they cancelled my order and are refunding my money, and I had to call them on my dime to find out why. What a joke of a company. STAY AWAY FROM TURN KEY ENGINE SUPPLY! THEY ARE A JOKE! THE ONLY THING OUT OF STOCK AT TURN KEY ENGINE SUPPLY IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Your business is a joke. You take me money for your product, sit on it for 12 days, don't fill the order, don't answer the phone, then I have to call you on my dime when you cancel the order because the item is "out of stock." The only thing out of stock at Turn Key Engine Supply is customer service. Have a nice day and look forward to a visit from the BBB.

So, looking back at the emails, did Kolby say what I think he said to you?

Sure did. I just copied and pasted. The Forum auto corrected it. BBB got a copy of the original, so did Classic Trucks because thats where I read about them.

Admitting it is the first step....... :D

There is no excuse for that reply. With customer service like that, they will be out of business very soon.
