I found this out by "exceeding the maximum delta airflow threshold values" this morning, on the way from a doctor's appointment to work. Apparently, I stabbed it too hard on the interstate on ramp in 26 degree air. Odd that that didn't happen the first night I drove it, when it was 23 degrees out. Anyway, it wasn't until after I installed a known good MAF that I remembered how to erase codes with my pocket scanner. Replacing the MAF and revving the engine in park with the hood open showed lots of jiggliness in the intake tube whenever the bypass valve opened.

Don't have to worry about making a support bracket for a while. Some drunk person failed to yield, turned across in front of me on my way to the hospital to have an infection in my arm tended to in the wee hours of this morning

Obviously I was not speeding, as the driver of the Ford Ranger survived, basically unscathed.

My wonderful morning made the news. Damn I'm good at not being on camera.

Yeah...my injury. Not to mention my truck and laptop were destroyed. I was on my way to the hospital to tend to this.

 

 

The bandage is from slicing a hole all the way through my finger and pulling medicated gauze through the hole. The tip of my finger was the source of the infection that gave me the racing stripes.

Life is awesome. At 0630 this morning, I was asking a doctor with a hemostat buried halfway through my finger making ominous clicking sounds if that was the sound of him hitting bone. He said "Yep, sure is." The anesthetic which was administered at the first joint, palm side, is now wearing off. Oh, the carnage suffered upon my poor finger. On a lighter note, the seemingly endless supply of gorgeous nurses has a sense of humor at least...

Glad you are OK, that is the most important thing.

Depending on how bad the burb is, you might want to buy it back from the insurance company and put a front clip on it. Its hard to tell how bad it is damaged from those photos, but it looks like a fairly easy fix.

Best part of waking up... is not this at 0800
