Funny thing, this truck was only 5000 more than my last one. 17,000 out the door. I may not try to add every rpo option that was available to this one.

I got Aries floor mats. They fit a hell of a lot better than weather tech and cheaper. I like them a lot so far. Had some other guys on here that turned me on to them.

Had one of the gentlemen at one of our GM stores print my rpo codes list for me while I was purchasing a new belt molding for the left rear door today. There's 3 rpo codes that specifically mention Hertz. Guess that settles how my baby started life. On a lighter note, when they found out how easy it is to disable DOD, 2 of my techs asked me if I could do theirs, one 07 Yukon, one 08 Silverado.

Thank you. It was totally worth the 75 bucks to dispense with the broken molding eyesore. I feel better about washing her now too.

I swear I love my new Burby more every time she takes me somewhere. I am a little bit sad to see my old girl go away. In hindsight, I don't think she deserved the supercharger abuse. She's either going to be repaired and given a new home, or become an organ donor for many other vehicles. I decided last night that I can live without the supercharger, and it will be going to a good home as well. Should I ever decide to force feed my new baby, I will use a roots/twin screw type. I filled the gas tank for the first time this evening. I fully expect it to last 2 weeks, probably even more. Can't wait to run motor flush through the engine and get some good, clean oil, trannny fluid, transfer case fluid and differential oil in her. New plugs, wires, and air filter too. I doubt it could get any better mileage or power output, but we shall see. After a comprehensive tuneup, I will data log again and see how my fuel trims look, as they ranged from +13 to -8 last night. I was very happy to see zero knock retard last night on my 12 mile log. Might be some room for improvement there.

Change oil soon light came on as I was leaving work. Stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up a PF48E and 6 quarts of Mobil Super High Mileage. Also, a quart of transmission fluid to run in it the day before I change it. Couldn't stand not having floor mats anymore, so I grabbed a set of cheapie $22 "universal" tan carpeted mats with rubber reinforcement in the driver's heel area. They will do the job until I get everything settled up. They actually fit pretty good.

Ha! Tuneup freebie! Had an AEM Synthetic DryFlow air filter in the closet, that I was going to use in the stock air box with the supercharger intake kit on the old truck until I found out that most of the intake would not fit.
