I feel you. Mine are black (thank god) but I'm thinking about pulling them this weekend. I like the clean look so much better. I bet as soon as I strip and clean the truck it gets dinged in a week.

One wheel will last you a long time ( 50 emblems worth )....they are not very cheap also.

 

The tailgate GMC logo is huge though.. I have never used the wheel and yes, the wheel is expensive.

 

Did mine a few months back along with door emblems. So much cleaner looking!! I also have a white truck. Cleaning in between those letters are horrible. Looks good though!!

AMD...is used the wheel for the GMC logo on my tailgate...took maybe 1/8" off the 3M wheel at the most...I'm sure you could do 50 or so of these big emblems with one wheel.

I use an off brand eraser wheel. Works great and was only $10. Got it at my local auto body supplies shop.

 

It's been used on multiple vechicles and isn't even a 1/4 worn.
