2014-2016 Silverado / Sierra Exhaust

Im looking at exhaust for my '15 Sierra 5.3. With that said, there's a lot of options. Muffler delete, straight pipe, flowmaster 40, 44, 50, Gibson, Magnaflow, Borla... You get my point.

What's everybody got and what sounds the best?

 

I've seen several YouTube vids of straight pipe and keeping the front resonator and it sounds sweet...

I have a '14 Sierra 5.3. I'm not a big fan of loud exhaust, but instead, I prefer something a little quieter with a soft rumble on startup and not deafening when WOT. I chose a 22" magnaflow, with flapper & resonator delete. I absolutely love the way the truck sounds now. It does have the chopper sound in V4, but it's not unbearable. When you accelerate, it sounds perfect. Unfortunately, my wife isn't a huge fan, and since I don't really want to fight that battle, I'm trying to keep my eyes peeled for a Borla GMPP cat back. I've heard there's no drone/chopper with those. Also, the service mgr told me that if my engine failed, an aftermarket exhaust would void my warranty. I've read different takes on this (Magnuson-Moss), but I hate to chance it either way, plus the old lady will be happy so what the hell. I like getting laid on the regular. Borla is in the near future.

Haha don't blame ya.

I've heard and seen a lot of people with the Borla and Corsa exhaust and they both sound really good. I've never heard a Magnaflow or a Gibson exhaust on the newer trucks though.

IMHO can't beat Corsa or Borla....see my post below regarding my recent Corsa sport install. Sounds incredible! Surprised me how loud it was though....I was expecting a tad quieter because it's not even the dB. I like loud so I'm happy with it, but it's definitely a little too "look at me!" for some people. Quite raspy and reverberates off of everything. A little drone in v4 mode at specific rpms but not too bad.

I have the BORLA ATAK on my 2014 Sierra 5.3 and no complaints. Have had a lot of people come up to the truck and complimented how good is sound.
