14-15 headlight trim removal

I always wondered how the trim came off. Now I know.

 

There are 4 strips of double sided tape that you have to deal with. I can't circle it on my phone, but hopefully you can see it in the pics. Just take your time and use plenty of heat with a heat gun.

 

Here's the light with the trim removed, just sitting on the light.

 

Here's the backside so you can see where to pry on the tape.

 

 

The black textured center piece has one strip of tape on the back also. There's a few clips that need squeezed to remove it also. You can easily see them when the chrome trim is off the light.

 

 

 

Hopefully this can help someone in the future wondering how to remove the trim. I'll be sanding them down for some fresh black paint soon.
