Folding mirrors for 2014 LT??? Is it possible?

Hi All,

New to the forum and silverados. Just bought a new to me 2014 silverado LT allstar package 4x4. Is there a way to manual fold the mirrors in? My mirrors are the ones where the top half is chrome the bottom half plastic trim. I pulled on them but they didnt move so im guessing no? I would like the extra 6 inches when pulling into my garage.

I really like the look of my stock mirrors just want them to fold in, any ideas?

Thanks!

If they look like what I think, like in the picture below, they will manually fold. If you want to power fold them, with some wire work and new switch, it can be done.

They should fold in toward you if you are in the drivers seat. They are spring loaded to stay in the out position. If sitting in the driver seat grab the outside tip of the mirror and pull toward you. You will have to over come the spring tension to get it to move. I had an SLE Sierra same trim in a GMC as yours and that's how they work.

Yes that is my exact mirror. I pulled on them but they didnt hinge and didnt want to force anything. I was being too much of a girly man i guess. Awesome guys thanks! Manual fold is fine for me, i dont need power fold.

They do fold in.

Yep - I do it all the time. Just give them a good pull toward the rear of the truck and they will "pop" in toward the window. Then just push them back out when you are done. The driver's side is really easy to do if you lower your window and pull on it while you are sitting in the driver's seat.

Oh - I know they fold, I was just replying to the OP to advise that they do indeed fold in. :)
