Swap Muffler from Performance Exhaust on All-Terrain?

Howdy everyone,

I would like to get a little more sound out of my new truck, but I do not want to get cab drone though. I currently have the GM performance exhaust on my truck and find it not as loud as I would like. I was thinking about swapping the muffler with a Magnaflow or a Flow master (Single in, Single out) and Replacing the left part of the Y pipe as they crimped it for ground clearance.

1.Has anyone with this GM performance exhaust just replaced the muffler only?

2. Or would I be better removing all the resonator/what ever the heck is in line before the muffler, and leaving the current muffler?
2.Current Muffler is 28" long.

3.My truck does not have a Flapper or resonator after the muffler

There is no gain from replacing the crimped pipe, the cross section is exactly the same as a round pipe.
