Loud exaust

Hello I currently have a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500hd 6.0l and am having a hard time finding a muffler for it. I went to a shop and they told me diameter of exaust pipe is 4" with I'm pretty sure it's 3.5". But anyways I am looking for my loudest possible option for my exaust without major modification or any cat back systems. I'm just looking to madify my muffler weather I just eliminate it in general or not.

Welcome!

3.5" is the pipe size. Are you sure you want it as loud as possible? If so just go muffler delete and have a shop throw some pipe in there.

Well to make sure I know what I am looking for how loud would that be if you were able to describe it.

Straight piped would be LOUD. Real loud. Anything louder would involve some long tube headers. A small bodied muffler would result in quite a bit of drone, and would drone more than straight piped would IMO. I run a Corsa cat-back on my 2015 and I love it but if you are looking for real loud, that would be too mellow for you I think.

I replaced the factory muffler with a magnaflow 18 inch. It is a three inch in and out so they had to expand some pipe to tie into the 3.5 inch factory piping. But if you measure the factory muffler inlet, it too is very close to three inch so they tell me that with the more open style muffler, even being three inch, it still flows better than stock. It is a lot louder than stock, I wouldn't want it any louder.

I think I am going to try straight pipe at first. If I don't like that then I will throw a muffler in there. It's just a pain in the butt to find someone to be able to bend the pipe for me. Everyone's giving me a hard time over it saying they can't bend 3.5" and they want me to do 3" from cats back.

2 shops told me the same thing. They can't bend 3.5 inch. That is why they use 3 inch they said.

The only reason they can't bend 3.5 inch is because they are too cheap to buy the 3.5 inch dies and/or have pipe on hand...find another shop. They are selling you a bill of goods so that they can make a buck off you with what they have...regardless of correct application.

Although I didn't need any bends in my setup, the local shop (who builds circle track cars as a side business) could have bent me 3.5 inch...check around, someone has the dies, pipe can be bought four foot at a time from Summit Racing. I have almost a full stick of 3.5 inch pipe from my install leftover.

Yes, the super 40 is great, it is 3.5 in and out. It also has to be off set so you don't need to bend anything. I have 7000 miles on mine and I love it. Summit has them. It will be 4"s short so a small piece of pipe is needed. Weld everything or use band clamps. I also bought a 18" long tip that's 3.5 in and 5 out. Looks great.
