(ABS) Anti-lock Warning light

Over the weekend I'm driving and I notice the warning light on my dash is on for the anti-lock braking system. Brakes dont feel any different, and I just had them worked on earlier this year. I looked it up in the manual and it basically said that there is a problem with the anti-lock braking system - Duh. Anyone know what this could be? (96 k1500) Thanks - Mayo.

My first guess would be a wheel speed sensor.

maybe its unplugged at the wheel or one of the two wires is frayed. Does your abs still work? I know my dad replaced his brakes on his 95 and somehow afterwards the abs light was on and they didn't work. We took a look and one of the wires was cut. Maybe he did it accidentally, but he likes it better without abs because they won't lock up going slower than 5mph like they ought to to get you to stop.
