Throttle Pos. Switch ????

1997 Silverado, When I reach a certain RPM my battery light blinks and then goes off. I have changed my alternator twice. Has anybody ever had this problem or can you help me find out what the deal is?

I have not heard of anyone else on this board having a problem like you are describing. Since you have changed the alternator twice I would have to rule out that the problem would be with it or its' built-in voltage regulator.

Maybe someone else here could help you out...

I've never heard of or seen that happen myself. Does the truck still run ok? Does it do it every time you reach that certain RPM?

The truck still runs fine. There are no other noticeable problems. I noticed the problem first when I was on the interstate doing 60 mph and punched it hard. Once I hit about 70 mph the battery light flickered and then went off. Later is when I noticed it sitting still and raising the RPM's. My mechanics don't have say it could be a faulty ground but that is just a guess. Any help I can get would be appreciated.
