TRANNY HELP

Hey guys my 05 6,0 is leaking tranny fluid out of the rear tranny seal. Can anyone tell me how to properly check my tranny fluid I know to leave it running but at what temp is the best to check at? Or how accurate is the cold check if you click it through all the gears first? And has anyone done a rear tranny seal or is it something you need to take the tranny out of the truck for?

you can't check it cold. well, you can't meaningfully check it cold.

I know but what temp is considered hot because I think the book says under 250 is normal or something like that

Just drive it for like half an hour, park on a level surface, click from D to N to R then to P. Then leave the truck run and pull the dipstick out
