Anyone running nitrous on there 2014+? I have a 5.3 truck I wanna put a nitrous outlet kit on.

Personally I've never been too fond of having to fill a bottle or bottles for power, especially if it's only for a short time. Seems like a video game with the boost button or something. The only time I think it might be fine is for an actual race car where you spray nitrous the entire time you're going down the track in place of forced induction.

Depends how much you want/your goals.

 

Up to 100-125shot I believe you can do w/o a tune or more fuel

 

Anything above that would take more fuel/properly tuned for it.

Had a buddy run a 100 shot in his 5.3 for a little bit and boy was it awesome. As long as you (or your tuner) don't get greedy and are careful with the tuning, you should be fine with around 100 shot.

A basic wet kit can be used without a tune. As long as you stay within the parameters of the kits recommended shot size for a non tuned application. I've used it on cars in the past and never went over a 125 HP shot as the manufacturer of the kits instructions didn't recommend it. Never had any issues and I always used an MSD RPM window switch. Install was easy and it always worked as it was supposed to. Mind you the kit was hidden and all I had was an arming switch that was a fog light switch so it wasn't obvious. Hidden kits won many races
