Duramax Suburban

Hello everyone! I am new to this site. I have recently bought a 2004 suburban that has an 06' Duramax LB7 driveline. I should also mention I live in CA, so it's going to be interesting getting it liscensed here. To add to the complication the body is originally off a 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton suburban. While the frame is a 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive. The title I received from dealer in Idaho has both vin numbers on it. But I cannot find the frame or "chassis" vin anywhere. I have searched innner and outer frame rails the length of the vehicle multilple times. I saw video of someone finding this chassis vin on the front passsenger side where the sway bar mounts to frame, and I managed to find a number there hiddden in undercoating but it doesn't resemble a vin.Nor Does it match the second vin on title. If anyone knows where to locate this chassis vin please help!? Thanks, Doug

Was a sticker on the frame, on the DS. Better register it as a 3/4 ton , will help with emissions
