My 2019 Z-71 2500 40% seat is locked in the "Fold Up" position!! Truck has 30,000 miles on it.  Anyone help?

They don't lock.
Just pull on really hard after examining any possible interference items.

I am sorry I didn't reply back to this sooner. I was able to fix it myself. There is a metal locking stop / cam that holds the seat in position. Just look at the opposite side while moving it up/down and you will notice the metal piece that i am talking about by the hinge. You need to use a flat blade screw driver and move the tab to lower the seat. and use a graphite lube or grease to lubricate the metal tab and work the seat up and down to get it working again...worked for me...sorry I can not take a picture of what I'm talking about. I hope this helps you!!

Also, this ... maybe it helps?

My 60/40 backseat on the 60 will not go down. The 40 goes down no problem. Could someone help me? Show or tell me what to do on my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado

I have a 2015 GMC it’s done the same thing (for 3 years), locked in the up position. If I want it down I have been carrying a mini pry-bar to actuate this spring loaded cam. I am going lube it today with some grease on a Q-tip and if that don't work I plan to apply the "wiggle it violently" technique.

I did as described earlier, getting a screwdriver into the latch finger and releasing the seat, so it would fold down. Then push it back up partially to lubricate the latch and spring area. When I push the seat all the way up then back down, it stuck but I pulled hard and it released. Worked the seat several times and now it works fine!

My 2014 GMC Driver Seat will not retract back to the up right position, its in a laying back position, impossible to drive. Does the whole seat have to be replaced or is there a simple fix????
