Temperature dial

When turning the temperature dial on my 2003 Yukon Denali the number on the display does not increase or decrease, it just flips around to different number in the 60's. Sometimes if I keep spinning the dial long enough I can get the display to go up to 75 degrees. The actual heating / cooling is working fine.

 

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Sounds like a typical switch failure to me. I've had radio volume controls, and welder amperage setting dials fail the exact same way.

Had the same problem on my 04 Silverado. I replaced the unit with ACDelco 15-72956. Cheapest I found it was on Amazon. It's a very simple installation, took a whole 5 minutes and that fixed the problem.
