I have 2007 5.3 that wont start. Lights and all come on, door dings but not even a click towards starting. have replaced the battery, starter, and checked ground and fuses. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So something like this happened to me a few months ago. Turned out a wire casing was getting chafed at the intake, shorting the system. Mine still happened to be covered under warranty. Hopefully it's the same for you sir

Just a bit of an update, checked all grounds, relays, security, fuses and about everything else imaginable. A friend coming over this morning to tear apart the ignition in the column, go out about an hour before he is to come and the dang thing started right up. Been broke down for over a week and then out of the blue like nothing was ever wrong. Unfortunately still do not know what was wrong with it.

Sounds like you have a wire loose or a bad connector and during your diagnoses you moved it enough to make a connection.

Bad ground connection.....

check your battery cables for the corrosion buildup

check your firewall ground strap

check your negative battery wire.....known to corrode and not make good contact on the frame

Has to be something you moved or wiggled the last time you inspected things
