Just wondering which brand amber DRL's you used to replace the factory DRL's. Are some better than others? Experiences / opinions please! :withstupid:

I think I might do this on my 03 b/c it looks better and I will have to replace at least one of them soon- I know they don't last long. I can replace them now and beat it to the punch! :lurk:

Thanks in advance!

I used the Sylvania 4157NALL. The LL is for Long Life. I got about 10K out of my tock driver's side. Then I got about 75K out of the LL and replaced them with the same recently.

I went to Auto Zone this morning to get the amber DRL's only to find out that they don't have any. :fume:

The stock bulb in my truck is a Sylvania 4157K.

I would like to replace it with the amber, long life version. Has anybody w/an 03 replaced theirs and know where I can get em? :jester:

Ease of installation?

No Problem. Pull the 2 pins that hold the top headlight pod in and remove the pod. You can unplug the lights or just let them hang like I did. Then you can reach behind the DRL and twist the bulb holder out of the back. Don't forget to hold the lock down whil twisting the holder. Two locks hold the bulb in the socket. I used a small screw driver to hold the locks in while pulling the bulb out. See owners manual for instructions and pictures.
